✨🌳 Corpo-Árvore arrives in Rio de Janeiro! 🌳✨
For the first time, the (se)cura humana collective leaves São Paulo and embarks with its branches and hoses for Rio de Janeiro, a state known for its natural beauty!
The "Corpo-Árvore" performance was selected by the Sesc RJ Pulsar 2023/2024 Culture Grant and will tour four cities, assembling our tree-machine in public squares and taking audiences on a (futuristic?) dystopian journey that reflects urgent environmental challenges.
🌱 "Corpo-Árvore" envisions an unlikely future—or a near reality—where the last tree on the planet, shattered, symbolizes the final hope. Survivors of a climate disaster era try to revitalize it with technology, attempting to recreate the "flying rivers" essential for air humidity. This tree-machine, a symbol of resilience and renewal, challenges us to question whether it's still possible to repair environmental damage.
The project arrives in Rio de Janeiro at a critical moment for Brazil, offering a chance to reflect on how, even in regions rich in natural beauty and cultural diversity, socio-environmental degradation increases vulnerability to climate change—like we’ve seen recently in Rio Grande do Sul.
"Corpo-Árvore" seeks to foster dialogue and inspire actions to build a fairer, more sustainable future for all.
